Dow Jones Headquarters
A high tech newsroom in midtown Manhattan
The new headquarters for Dow Jones included a comprehensive wayfinding system, digital media walls, Newswire Walls, awards exhibits and graphics. The 300,000 sq ft space required close collaboration between Airspace, Studios Architecture and AV Services. We used the contrast of old printing equipment and new technology as a starting point for all components. The ubiquitous Dow Jones logo inspired the typeface selection throughout all static and digital signage components. Archival newsroom photography of The Wall Street Journal’s early days became the highlight of the central coffee bar area and live feeds from the Journal’s Times Square news feed are displayed on the three-story LED media walls nearby.
